Bardo Palace Update

So here’s the deal with Bardo Palace:

It’s not labeled Palace of Bardo on purpose so as not to be confused with the Manhwa in internet searches (also, it’s technically a correct translation as well).

Volume 1 is completed. I make no promises as to translating Volume 2 or 3. If I decide to do Bardo Palace V2 it will be no sooner than July 2023. There will be no scheduled updates on this or any other series, please check the calendar for updates or subscribe.

Also, I never intended to translate this on my own, but my partner bailed on me (Something I’ve gotten used to in the lonely world of translation 😭). So what was going to be the main project, ended up being a side project.

If someone else wants to take over Bardo Palace contact me.

By the way, the one and only novel series that I wanted to translate, which is Dear Benjamin and Love Benjamin, I couldn’t even start because I am still translating these novels (plus I had to learn to build a website)! However, I will not be translating it now.

I will not be translating multiple books at the same time because the translation ends up being rubbish and it burns me out.

I will translate the occasional chapter, it will be listed in the calendar.

The main story ended with chapter 51. There are only the side stories left.

Support official translations and Korean publishers and English booksellers will put out more translations i.e supply and demand. There are a lot more too but they’re listed poorly. BL just isn’t a category for American booksellers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Guardian of the Sun updates

Latest News: The side story is being translated right now, however, it won’t be available until later in 2023, maybe around October-ish. Update: it isn’t edited and without help, it will be pushed back to 2024.

Guardian of the Sun is complete!!! But not really, because volumes 1 & 2 need to be edited, and that means I’ll be going through them and re-doing a lot of the translation as well.

I usually translate when I should be sleeping so they’re are too many errors to name. I also sometimes forget sentences or entire paragraphs. I know in one chapter I missed several paragraphs because I fell asleep and lost my place. When I restarted, it was on the next page (and that’s just the one that I caught!). So editing may change the feel of the whole book for some people. Sorry, about that but I’m not a professional!

There will be no scheduled updates on this, or any other series. You will just have to check back from time to time and look at the calendar or subscribe and get emails.
