Volume 3 – Clash (激突)

1

Bang-.

After breaking the door, the inside of the room was filled with a quiet darkness. As they entered the main palace, a few court ladies with pale faces looked at Aran who was determined not to spare anyone they came across, and raised their hands to point to one of the hallways. It meant that Taejeokrune was heading there. Aran, who looked down at them quietly, stepped aside and passed by. But soon after, the soldiers following him silently drew their swords.

He scoured the main palace, and wherever he went, it looked like it was soaked red with blood. Aran, who had gone into the farthest part of the Inner Palace, to the point where he had nowhere to go now, frowned and furrowed his brow. He had entered the main palace following him, but Taejeokrune and Won were nowhere to be seen. There was no possible way he escaped, but where did he disappear to? Could it be that there is another secret passage somewhere?

“Prince!”

As he was about to open the door and step inside, Shaw hurriedly grabbed Aran’s shoulder from behind and pulled him back. When his movements stopped, and he had almost pulled him to him, a short blade flew past the tip of his nose with a shuffling sound from the inside and crashed into the wall. A chill ran down his spine as he looked at the blade that would have pierced his temple if he made a mistake.

“I hope nothing new will appear.”

Cain, following from behind, groaned, raised his foot, and smashed the door. Aran let out a sigh and followed Cain inside.

At the break of dawn, the room without even one light burning was so dark it was hard to see. There seemed to be nothing. There was no sign of their presence, and the cold, frozen interior was enough to make the tip of his nose tingle. However, as Aran was scanning the spacious interior, he stopped breathing for an instant.

It was because he found a single person with a thin build by the window beyond the darkness. He was a boy who sat motionless like a doll and without looking away. But he was recognizable at a glance. Aran’s only remaining blood. He was a child who looked just like his father.

“… Won? Won, are you right?”

Aran asked in a trembling voice and took a step closer. But Cain reached out and blocked his way. Aran understood the meaning, do not move closer yet, and he had no choice but to stop moving forward.

“Who are you?”

The boy quietly asked as he finally turned his eyes to them. His slightly thickened voice, due to the passing of puberty, made his voice unfamiliar to Aran. Aran clenched his trembling fists and swallowed dryly.

“Won, it’s me, it’s Jung, do you remember? It’s your brother.”

As Aran revealed himself to the boy, his voice trembled. His mind was confused. Is it really Prince Won, whom he had been searching for, for such a long time? Will he remember him? No, why was Prince Won, left alone in a place like this? Where did Taejeokrune, who was holding him hostage, run away to? He kept asking the same question over and over again, but he couldn’t figure out what was going on.

“… Older brother? Are you Jung?”

Won asked in disbelief as he stared blankly at Aran for a moment. But soon the look in Won’s eyes as he stared at Aran began to deepen. Aran nodded his head as he tried to hold down the intense emotions that rose up and choked his throat. He wanted to run and hug him right away but Cain was still holding his shoulder, warning him not to move. Taejeokrune or his subordinates could jump out from behind Prince Won, or there could be traps, so this was the only way to go.

“Really, are you, my brother? Brother Jung…… You’re alive? I’m… I thought I was left alone.”

Prince Won looked at him with wide-open eyes, just as Aran was looking at him.

“Won, are you really okay? Do you have any injuries?”

“No, I’m not injured.”

“You’re not in any pain?”

“No. I’m fine.”

He showed his happy emotions, but then he quickly steeled himself, like a person who was thinking hard about something. His face was full of worry, worry, and confusion. As Aran watched Won’s expressions of mixed emotions, he finally pushed aside Cain’s hand, and slowly moved forward.

“l came here to save you, take my hand.”

”… you found me?”

“You’re my only blood, isn’t that the natural way?”

Aran calmly reached out to Won. With those words, the boy who had not yet left behind his teenage appearance approached him. Although he still had an uneasy expression, his deep, straight gaze, resembling that of the late King, was fixed on Aran. But after walking a few steps, he suddenly stopped and stood still.

“Has my brother come to attack him?”

His quiet voice asked that curious question. Aran realized the meaning of the question and answered, ‘Yes’. Won’s expression didn’t move in the slightest. He just nodded his head as though he accepted it as obvious.

In the end, Aran approached Won first and carefully grabbed Won’s hand.

“Has he not done anything bad to you?”

“No. I was lonely because I was imprisoned by myself, and he did nothing to me.”

Won said calmly as he gently grabbed Aran’s hand. The young man who still held a part of the child Aran remembered as a boy, had an expressionless face, just like Aran. Aran had no idea how Won was feeling or what he was trying to say.

Nevertheless, Aran gently hugged Won’s shoulders and felt a sense of sorrow. It must have been hard to be alone for such a long time. The fact that he spent his childhood alone without anyone would have been hard for him.

“Nothing else matters, as long as you’re safe, that’s enough.”

Aran gave strength to the arm holding Won, and finally, let out a sigh of relief. He managed to find the only remaining member of his bloodline after more than ten years! It was such a joyous thing that his heart trembled. While he was feeling a sense of relief as he held Won in his arms, he had become unaware of the passage of time, however, his soldiers continued to quietly disperse behind their backs. Noe that he knew Won was alive and well, all that was left was to find the Taejeokrune.

Aran, who had been listening to the sound of their movements, slowly raised his head. First, he had to take Won out of that place. He wanted to instruct Jiyul to leave with Won, find a safe place, and stay there. However, the moment he lifted his head and saw Won facing him again, Aran’s mind let go of that thought, he forgot that Won should leave this place immediately, and just looked at him from afar.

Won had a very strange expression on his face, unlike the one he had before. Confusion passed over the face that looked like a combination of his father and the child version of Won. Won looked at Aran nervously, his eyes trembled and he bit his lips, he was clearly trying to communicate something to Aran. Aran just waited silently until he finally spoke.

“Older brother…..what are you going to do with him?”

The question he asked expressed his anxiety, but it was a bizarre question to ask, and although Aran saw it coming, he still could not hide his confusion.

“Are you talking about Taejeokrune?”

When asked, Won nodded.

“He saved me from the hands of others. And he deliberately took me away and brought me here. He said that he would be waiting for me.”

“Taejeokrune is the one who rebelled and stole our father’s throne, he annihilated both the late King and our Royal Family.”

“I know. I know better than anyone that he is the enemy that took everything from me and my brother. At the same time, he is also a benefactor who saved me in the end. It’s ironic.”

“Won.”

“Can you punish him, but spare his life? I want to save his life, just like he did for me.”

Even though Won knew what he did, he still wished for him to live. He was asking with a deep sadness in his heart. The way he was biting his lips showed Aran how confused he was. Aran couldn’t give him an answer on the spot, even knowing that Won was experiencing emotions that he couldn’t help but to feel.

However, Aran was also confused. He didn’t know why Taejeokrune saved Won, or what he meant by leaving him alone and saying that he would come for him. Perhaps he even thinks of Won in particular. No, that was impossible! He was the one who came in with a plan to attack the Royal Family from the beginning. Isn’t he the one who brutally killed everyone, destroying everything? But why come back now…….no matter how hard he tried, it was too difficult to grasp.

It was just around the time when Aran narrowed his eyes for a moment and continued his doubts, he suddenly heard piercing screams, shouts, and sharp noises of swords being crossed, as though they were pouring in all at once. Aran was startled and grabbed hold of Won’s shoulder once, tightly, then released his hand and drew his sword again. He planned to take Won to Jiyul first, but apparently, something else happened outside in the meantime.

“I understand your feelings Won, but the problem is beyond my control.”

Older Brother-.”

“Let’s talk later.”

Won closed his mouth. He was a calm and thoughtful child. Without being coerced or angry, he just bit his lip and lowered his head. However, no matter how much Won pleaded, it was impossible for Aran to let Taejeokrune live. Even if he escaped like a ghost from this place today, he knew that the moment he caught him, his head would fly.

“Wait here for a moment. I’ll be back soon.”

Aran hurriedly turned away from Won. He was nervous because he thought Won would be able to read his intentions. In addition, a question arose reflexively. Why had that twisted villain not touched Won, but instead saved his life?t was all questionable. Of course, it was fortunate that Won was safe for whatever reason, but that didn’t mean he could spare Taejeokrune’s life. The cost of his guilt was too exorbitantly high.

The more he thought about it, the heavier his heart felt. After trying to erase those feelings, he ordered his subordinate who was waiting for him, to guard Won and then headed to the place where the sounds were coming from. It did not appear as though Cain had gone out first. Aran walked quickly. Although the noise seemed to have started from inside the palace, as Aran followed it, he ended up at the door that led outside the Main Palace. It seemed that the fight was gradually pushed back, and had moved to the outdoors.

So in the end, he was now in front of the door leading from the Main Palace to the outside, but Instead of going through the main South Gate, he opened the door that led to the North Gardens and went outside as a cold wind blew inward. Aran clenched his jaw and stepped outside into the sleet.

Taejeokrune, his military officers that were close with him, and his Golden Army who were guarding him, were confronting Cain, and Cain’s soldiers. Cain had quickly caught up with Taejeokrune and his party, who were trying to escape. There was a secret door above the garden, but now they were in a situation where they were stuck in a dead-end alley because the Main Gate was now blocked.

However, Taejeokrune and his military officers that were surrounding him were highly skilled and were his most elite men. They swung their swords swiftly, they were not going to back-down easily. The same goes for Taejeokrune. Aran, who was looking at his skilled swordsmanship, clenched his jaw and quickly walked toward them.

“Take up your sword, Taejeokrune.”

Shouted Aran loudly as he stood in front of the sword-wielding soldiers that filled the garden. It was as if the war was over anyway. Taejeokrune’s soldiers who had filled the Royal Palace were crushed beneath the overwhelming power brought by Jiyul, the soldiers of the former Ministers, and Cain’s great Army.

Besides, hadn’t Taejeokrune even run away with Won? The war was finalized the moment the leader abandoned his soldiers and tried to run away from the battlefield. All that was left was Taejeokrune and his closest aides, who did not even draw their swords until the very last moment.

“You want me to drop my sword?”

Taejeokrune faced Aran, shaking his blood-stained sword. Unlike when he looked at Won, his eyes were as black as hell. His usual cruel and cold eyes stared at him as if he wanted to kill him.

“Put down your sword and get down on your knees. If you do, I will spare your life.”

Suddenly, Won’s anxious face flickered in front of his eyes. The eyes of the boy that were begging for Taejeokrune’s life were caught in Aran’s heart, and he begrudgingly clenched his jaw until it made a sound, and spit out words he didn’t want to speak. Then Taejeokrune tilted his head and put a crooked smile on his lips.

“Will you spare my life? It’s funny, I never thought I’d hear such words from you. It must be time to die.”

“… … “

“Does it look like I’m going to kneel down and beg you for my life?”

Aran looked at him with a dismal expression.

“Do you think that I said I wanted to save you? It was because of a plea from Won, my only blood kin.”

When Aran snorted and said that, Taejeokrune stopped his low laughter.

“But if that’s your will, then it won’t be as simple as you think.”

Aran was outraged, It wasn’t enough that he offered this extraordinary generosity! Even if he cut off his limbs, split his stomach, and fed his parts to animals as food, the resentment he felt would still not be resolved. However…… Won’s words didn’t leave his thoughts. Aran shaking eyes hardly ever left his eyes.

“Won, then you must have met the child properly.”

He twisted his lips with a smile colder than the chill winds of dawn. Suddenly, Aran wanted to properly ask why he left Won. But he couldn’t bear to ask. Even if he knew what Taejeokrune was thinking, it wouldn’t change anything, so it was better not to know, it would be better to just bury him.

“It’s something I regret too. At this moment, what I regret most is not being able to kill you and Won. If only the two of you had been properly killed. If I could have killed him, I wouldn’t be in this ridiculous state now.”

He let out a self-deprecating laugh. It was an empty laugh in vain, that seemed to disappear quickly. A laugh that didn’t suit him at all. Aran furrowed his brow and glared at him. He could hardly get a hold of it. He said that he regretted not being able to kill him, but his actions and his feelings were different.

“Come on, go ahead. If you want to take my head, you will have to wield the sword yourself!”

Unexpectedly, Taejeokrune shouted provocatively and ran at him with his sword. His sudden move was quick. As if he had mastered ‘light movement’, he ran so fast that Aran couldn’t even see him properly, and then he suddenly raised his sword at a right angle and aimed it at Aran’s heart.

“Prince!”

Shaw shouted when Taejeokrune’ssword approached Aran’s nose. Before Aran could dodge back or raise his sword, Shaw blocked his way. Cain followed quickly too, but couldn’t be faster than Shaw, who had mastered light movement. In the blink of an eye, Taejeokrune, Aran, and Shaw faced each other closely.

In that drawn-out moment, it seemed as though a swooshing- sound could be heard. It was the sound of a cut to Shaw’s arm, which had stopped Taejeokrune’s sword from hitting Aran, however, the time span needed to raise his sword properly to block Aran with it, wasn’t enough.

Splatter

Red blood dripped down to the floor. The thick bloody smell spread. ‘Shaw!’ Aran’s sharp cry rang out as he called his name. Meanwhile, Taejeokrune quickly raised his sword and struck with it again.

Ching-

The sound of overlapping blades resounded coldly. Sweat dripped down Shaw’s grimacing forehead as he held a sword in one arm, and hid Aran behind his back. He was a man who couldn’t afford to be careless at all.

“Hey, he must be a ‘Little Prince’ who doesn’t know how to do anything other than to hide behind someone else.”

A groaning sound resounded from the blade that was barely blocking the Taejeokrune’s sword, which was being suppressed from above. When Shaw’s foot, which was on the floor, was pushed back, Aran pulled out his sword and slammed Taejeokrune’s sword, which Shaw was blocking with all his might. At that moment, the overlapping sword fell and Taejeokrune fell a couple of steps backward. However, he immediately rushed in with his mad eyes gleaming.

“Shaw, back off!”

Aran pushed Shaw, who was wounded by a sword on his shoulder, with all his might and faced Taejeokrune who ran in screaming like a Yaksha¹.

Chang- Chang

He was sweating hard as he tried to block Taejeokrune’s sword, which he wielded with a terrifyingly strong force. But he could not let things be broken here. With this in mind, Aran clenched his jaw and fixed his sword, stopping Taejeokrune from rushing like crazy.

“You want to reclaim this palace and throne?”

He asked with a sneer as he swung his sword with such strength as though he were about to shred Aran. Aran didn’t answer. In fact, he couldn’t even hear his words or any noise at all. Just like when he faced Taejeokrune in front of the Gibang, the only thing he could see and hear was Taejeokrune running toward him showing his murderous intent.

And the same goes for Taejeokrune. He was running towards Aran with his eyes fixed only on him. The soldiers around them were battling one another and could not even get close to them in time.

Cain, like the other soldiers, was watching with narrowed eyes. This was Aran’s fight in the first place, and he had no room to intervene. Anyway, if Aran’s life was at stake, he would go out without hesitation, but until then, he had no intention of interfering.

“If you want it back, then you’ll have to take it from me!”

Aran glared at him with a stern expression at his flippant words. He calmly whispered to ‘take it back’, as he let out a cold laugh. Taejeokrune just glared at him with a strange expression, Aran couldn’t tell if he was serious or joking, and he just continued to swing his sword.

“Can you take it?”

Clenching his jaw tightly, Aran glared at him as though he would kill him. Even if he tried to forgive him for Won’s sake, he did not have the heart to do so. From the beginning until now, he was just a villain! He decided not to heed Won’s pleas anymore.

Taejeokrune was the one who killed all his blood kin, took his father’s country, preyed on the Northern Prince causing Leia’s death, and took all the people and land that belonged to Ryugen. Then, without any sign of remorse, he was the one who quietly said, ‘If you want it back, then you’ll have to take it from me‘. He didn’t know what happened with Won, but he won’t regard it anymore.

Aran looked directly at him with eyes as black as the abyss. Because of this man he has lost so much. He won’t lose anymore!

“As you said, I will take back everything. I will take back everything you took.”

A cold, frozen voice spread through the sharp bright atmosphere. Aran’s steps accelerated. It is difficult to face the attack of Taejeokrune, who has a superior physique and strength. Even if Aran had managed to block him up until now, it was clear that his strength would not be enough. He would be pushed back just like the last time.

So instead of colliding with force, he had to attack quickly and agilely. Of course, Taejeokrune was attacking with both strength and speed, but he had to move a little faster. Aran, who attacked with both black gleaming eyes and a sword, moved swiftly before him.

In an instant, Aran gripped the sword in the other hand and twisted it in another direction. And in his other hand, he took out his dagger and gripped it. The strange movement of his sword, which wasn’t known in Kajang, was learned from Jar in the Empire.

Aran lowered his back and ran quickly. The radius at which the sword is swung was directed diagonally and downward, not forward. Taejeokrune mainly attacked toward the heart and neck, Aran was aiming at his shoulders and arms while deflecting him from his waist and legs, with his sword.

At the same time that Aran’s attack changed, the airflow also changed. Aran ran so lightly that he couldn’t even feel his feet on the ground, and he dug into the gap at once. Taejeokrun turned to avoid it, but Aran’s sword ripped his armor and split his shoulder. Drops of red blood splashed over his cheeks. Taejeokrune, who let out a short moan, took a few steps back and smirked.

“It’s turning out better for you than last time. But, so what? Unlike you, I had nothing in the first place, so I had nothing to lose.”

Aran narrowed his eyes and looked at him. Taejeokrune spoke with an empty aura, but there was a clear ambiguity to his words.

“l have nothing, are you telling me to take it away from you?”

“Because what you want to take away, is not what I really wanted to have.”

Psst- As he sneered and held his sword, he still spoke elusive words.

“There was nothing I really wanted. Nothing to be obsessed with.”

“Then why did you steal it? Why did you take it away and kill all those innocent people that you didn’t want in the first place!?”

Aran couldn’t hold back anymore and shouted loudly. He wished that he would stop talking casually. He couldn’t take the sound of him saying, after he demolished everything, that he never wanted any of it.

“Then why?”

At the end of the question, there was a chuckle of laughter. Taejeokrune looked calm even though he had a slash on his arm and was dripping with blood, as though he could not even feel pain. However, the gaze glaring at Aran was full of evil, it gave him the chills.

“Because I wanted to beat your father, my Uncle, just as you want to beat me.”

“What…?”

“Until then, that was my only living, breathing, goal. But after I cut his neck with my hands, everything became boring.”

But in the end, a single word from the tip of his lips hardened Aran’s hand. It was hard to breathe as though there was a lump in his throat. Defeating the late King was just a life goal. Was Tae Seo-ha, the father of Taejeokrune, so resentful for losing his throne to King Seon? To the extent that the goal is not just to usurp the throne, but to behead the late King?

He could never comprehend what he was saying. Not missing out on Aran confusion, Taejeokrune swung his sword.

Chang-.

A sharp sound bounced off the tip of the blade, which he barely managed to block. Through the crossed blades, he could see Taejeokrune close up. The eyes of the man who said that he had a grudge against the late King, however, not because he coveted the throne, shone colder than ever.

“Why….because my father was…”

Involuntarily, a soliloquy flowed out. He was the King who was beloved by all because he was always good and gentle. But for some reason, the question lingered on the tip of his tongue. However, as though Taejeokrune had no intention of explaining it anymore, he moved his blood-soaked arm without regard to Aran’s sword and slammed it down.

Dung-. Once again, the sword that touched his, made a loud sound as though it were about to break. Aran furrowed his brow, and his arm suffered a tingling pain from the blow that was blocked with such strength that one would be doubtful as to whether the person who blocked him was injured. Then he paused for a moment and shook off his sword.

“As soon as I achieved my goal, I lost the joy in life.”

“Unbelievable, nonsense—… !”

Before he could even finish his words, his body that had stopped Taejeokrune from rushing in was pushed back. Although he was holding himself down to his toes, Aran seemed to lose traction as he continued to be pushed back. He managed to withstand such a thing and blocked the oncoming sword. The sword came down near the tip of his nose, and Taejeokrune was also only a stone’s throw away.

“But one thing happened, something that even I didn’t expect.”

Taejeokrune whispered softly as he pressed down on the sword without any hesitation, in spite of his blood-stained shoulder. Aran clenched his jaw and glared at him. The arm that was blocking him trembled.

“It was painfully easy to cut his throat, but he couldn’t kill his son who looked so much like him. Who would have known?”

Mumbling as if in a soliloquy, he added, ‘Why?’ As if trying to ask Aran for the answer. Or like someone trying to confide in him before he dies.

“I don’t want to listen to your bullshit anymore!”

With a low cry, Aran slashed his sword sharply. Hearing that absurd nonsense gave him pain. He didn’t have the right to say that. The ravings of such a twisted human being without emotion…….

“Older Brother!”

It was around that time that an urgent voice was heard from afar, it was the unstable voice of someone who had just gone through puberty. A young voice coming from a boy to a young man, called with a sad heart. However, it was not Aran who responded to that call. In an instant, the expression on Taejeokrune’s face disappeared. At first glance, it was as though he had turned his dark gaze towards the source of the sound.

“Brother, please-…”

The boy was running. It felt as if time had stopped, or was moving too slowly, but he was running toward them with a desperate look on his face. Aran didn’t look back at Won. The only thing that mattered right now was whether he could kill Taejeokrune or not. Without the slightest bit of hesitation, Aran’s sword struck the Taejeokrune in a single blow. His only remaining black eye gazed at the tip of Aran’s pale blue blade.

In that brief moment, Taejeokrune stopped moving. As Aran aimed at his heart with his sharp sword, Taejeokrune had just stopped his sword, as though he had forgotten everything.

“… … !”

Aran’s eyes widened. A long sword, which he naturally thought would be blocked, cut through his chest and pierced through to his back. Red blood poured down from his long sword that cut the flesh and pierced through bones.

No sound was heard. It seemed as if time had stopped. He came all the way here with only one goal: to get rid of this man, and he didn’t know that a sword would pierce his heart at such an absurd moment. The end of the man who took everything they had, coveted Cain’s Empire, and tried to destroy Ryugen, happened in an absurdly short moment.

All he could think of was that Taejeokrune had given himself away. Aran couldn’t let go of the sword he stuck into his chest. Then Taejeokrune, who looked down at the sword embedded deep in his body, raised his shaky hand and grabbed the blade of the sword. His hands split as he gripped the sharp blade, and blood dripped down to the ground.

“…… It’s better than you stabbing me.”

Finally, he knelt down on the cold ground, uttering incomprehensible words to himself. It wasn’t something he was saying to Aran. The words were directed to the person who reached the end of his gaze. Aran slowly turned his head. There, Won with a hardened pale face, was glaring at him.

“It’s a relief.”

His blood-soaked lips moved slightly as he uttered those last words. With those words, Taejeokrune let out a long breath. And the heavy body of the man who had just died fell to the ground with a thudding-, sound. Soon, dark red blood began to slowly spread over the frozen ground beneath his body as he lay on his back with his eyes open.

“……Won.”

Won, who suddenly approached without a sound, was staring at Taejeokrune. It wasn’t the desperate and passionate figure he had shown while running to this place a while ago. He didn’t show any emotions, just like when Aran first found him. He didn’t look sad or angry. It was only a calm gaze and expression.

Aran, who raised his hand to touch Won’s thin shoulder, quietly lowered his blood-soaked hand away from Won’s shoulder without touching him.

“If you hadn’t pointed your sword at him, one day I would have done it.”

”… …”

“And yet, even though I know…..”

The boy couldn’t finish his sentence. Biting his lip with a calm face, he clenched his trembling hands with all his might. Aran turned his head to look at Cain. Shaw and the soldiers who stood around them were silent.

None of the warriors who last escorted Taejeokrune survived. Just like him, they had become cold corpses lying long on the cold ground. Those who survived the war were just watching them, unable to move as if frozen by the winter wind.

“Aran.”

Then Cain held out his hand. Aran quietly turned to Cain, who called to him. It was the long-awaited reunion with Won, but now it seemed that he needed time.

As he approached Cain, who was silently waiting for him, Cain wrapped his arms around Aran’s shoulder and hugged him. At last, he felt warmth. It was the warmth that melted the body that had been frozen from head to toe.

By now, the day was shining brightly. As though time itself had been like last night’s storm, and the bright morning was a little unfamiliar. Aran looked around. A bright beam of light leaked through the gray clouds. The light was brilliant. However, it was still a strange morning and the sleet did not stop falling.

Just before returning to the main palace with the wounded Shaw, Aran looked back. Won was still kneeling next to Taejeokrune. His profile as he closed Taejeokrune’s eyes was only indifferent.

However, even after closing Taejeokrune’s eyes, Won just stared at him endlessly. Won, who had not even thought of getting up from his seat, suddenly began to mumble with a small movement. Aran, who watched the scene, immediately turned and headed toward the Palace.

  1. The war is finally over! Thank god my worries about Taejeokrune’s relationship with Won were wrong. I’m also glad that won doesn’t hold his death against Aran. Won might actually be able to take over the throne immediately. I thought it might take some time, but he’s so thoughtful. Although, I would still like it if Aran could stay for a year or so.
