Message from the Translator

Not a full release.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read my translation. After further consideration of my own well-being, I have decided I am NOT in the right head space at this time to translate an angsty black-belly novel. I apologize to anyone who is disappointed by this. Anyone may take over this project at any time. There is no need to ask for permission. I can’t supply you with raws, sorry. This is what I have already translated and there will be no more updates for the foreseeable future. I will be starting an escapist kind of novel and it will be an ABO/Mpreg. Look for it soon.

It was well past midnight when Hajin returned home. His red, puffy eyes were unfocused, and his gait was awkward, as though he was out of sync. President Yoon, who was drinking liquor in the living room, clicked his tongue at Hajin’s late return.

“Taesung contacted me to set a date for the meeting-ceremony. They want us to set the date for the wedding, and we’ll do it as soon as possible.”

“That’s …….”

“He’s a slovenly bastard… Mr. Jeong, take your medication. We don’t want you to get sick before the wedding.”

“I’ll go upstairs.”

Tears poured from Hajin’s eyes as he bowed and turned away. He didn’t think he could despair anymore, but it wasn’t over. Hajin looked so vulnerable that even President Yoon recognized it.

He walked into his room and collapsed on the bed, unable to muster the strength to get dressed. Tears streamed from his half-open eyes as he stared blankly into space. Mr. Jeong, who works round-the-clock in the mansion, knocked on the door and entered, placing the prenatal pill on the bedside table. When Mr. Jung said goodbye and left the room, Hajin remained face down on the bed, unable to move. It wasn’t his fault, it wasn’t anyone’s fault, it was just a contract, just a job, and it was contradictory to feel so devastated by it.

His marriage to Yoon Hajin was moving remarkably fast. Before they even had a chance to meet again, they were making headlines in the morning newspapers, and rightly so, as marrying an Omega is not a common occurrence in the chaebol world. Now there was no point in procrastinating. If he backed out now, it would be a breakup, and it would shake the entire Taesung Group and Daewon Construction.

He was on his way back from a presentation. Hah. He sighed and it fogged up the glass. Ever since the story of his marriage broke, it had become difficult to meet with Si-yeon. He was trying to hold on to her, but he was getting a little tired of having to fight every time they met. Unable to let go of Si-yeon or accept this weariness, Jae-hyuk wandered around every day since his engagement. On the days he met with Si-yeon, he would get so drunk that he couldn’t go home, and wake up in a hotel bed after blacking out.

And on those days, I would dream of violating Yoon Ha-jin. No Si-yeon, no one else, just Yoon Hajin.

“I don’t understand why this soon-to-be groom drinks every day.”

Ji-wook said, sitting down next to him. Ji-wook was a friend he’d met in high school, before studying abroad in the U.S. and one of the few people who knew Jae-hyuk’s current girlfriend. Jae-hyuk handed Ji-wook a glass.

“Marriage blues? Well, I’m afraid you’re going to go straight to alcoholism before you’ve even been diagnosed with depression.”

“Comfort me or shut up.”

“Comfort? Did you call me because you need comfort right now?”

Maybe I picked the wrong person, he thought. Ji-wook smirked and poured himself a glass.

“What kind of bastard needs to be comforted when he’s lucky enough to be marrying Yoon Hajin, the most beautiful man in all of the Chaebol families, and who has a genuine girlfriend who only has eyes for him?”

“Stop it.”

“You’re the one who said to stop with the self-pity, I’m getting tired of hearing it. You chose the arranged marriage, you chose Yoon Hajin.”

Fuck! Jaehyuk picked up his glass of straight alcohol and slid it down the back of his throat.

“What do they say at your house?”

“Well, I think everyone knows what you going on since Si-yeon’s been on a rampage.”

Jae-hyuk filled his glass with ice. Si-yeon knew Ji-wook’s little sister. He’d seen her a few times at social gatherings. In fact, his face was now dim too.

“She made a big deal out of it because she wanted to marry you. Why does she love a heartless bastard like you?”

Ji-wook said to Jae-hyuk while raising his eyebrows. In fact, the way he smirked and swept his hand across his face was enough to make a man even a man swoon. Ji-wook’s eyes narrowed as he watched Jae-hyuk fall halfway to the table. He looked at Jae-hyuk with something like pity in his eyes. “I can’t understand you. You’re second to none in the family in ability, looks, or whatever. You’re decision to marry the dominant Omega of Daewon Construction, a company that pales in comparison to Taesung Group, is driven solely by ambition. And yet you say you love a beta woman who is neither a Chenobal nor a dominant Omega”. Either way, Ji-wook couldn’t seem to fathom the depths of his heart.

“Do you love Lee Si-yeon?”

“…….”

Ji-Wook opens his mouth to say something to Jae-Hyeok, who is now practically slumped over the table, but closes it again.

“What I said before, don’t pay too much attention to it.”

“What do you mean?”

“That you’ll never marry Si-Yeon because you’re a chaebol and a dominant Alpha after all.”

“… You’re right, but why.”

“Just. I think you’re holding on to it too much.”

“Forget it.”

“… It was just something I said to judge you. Don’t read too much into it. I’m just saying that maybe you can’t see what’s really going on in your heart because you’re holding on to that.”

As Ji-wook watched Jae-hyuk break down, he suddenly felt guilty. Ji-wook has known a lot of women in Jae-hyuk’s life over the years. Alphas, Betas, and even Omegas. All of them were short-lived, lasting no more than two months at most. They were all from different professions, classes, and personalities, except for one common trait: they were all fair, pure, and somewhat colorful. In reality, these women were there to satisfy their needs, and for Jae-hyuk, love didn’t seem to exist. Whenever women pleaded for his love and hoped for a deeper connection, Jae-hyuk would always say he was exhausted and cut them off.

Although Ji-wook considers Jae-hyuk a really close friend and a great guy, when it comes to relationships, he thinks he’s trash. And then Jae-hyuk started dating a beta female, Lee Si-yeon. “You’re not going to marry her anyway,” Ji-wook had said. However, this time things were different. Either that or it was a perverse mistake. Jae-hyuk kept Ji-wook’s words in the back of his mind.

However, for some reason, Ji-wook didn’t feel sorry for Jae-hyuk, who told him something he didn’t mean, but for Jae-hyuk’s girlfriend, Ms. Lee Si-yeon. Ji-wook, who somehow feels like he knows how it’s going to end, wants her to move on, but he can’t bring himself to say it.

If she were to marry another alpha, she might stand a chance, but as long as there is an Omega by his side, even if he doesn’t give his heart to him, he will continue to have his body, but can she continue to watch Jae-hyuk from the sidelines? Ji-wook feels that she shouldn’t give up her heart.

“Yes, a class distinction. Now that I think about it, I don’t have that hang-up. Who’d have thought this Kang Jae-hyuk would marry an Omega?”

“Hey.”

“Can you imagine what President Yoon would have done with him?”

“Hey, Jae-hyuk, stop it. You’re drunk.”

It wasn’t a pleasant thing to hear gossip about your friend’s would-be spouse from your friend’s mouth. Ji-wook made a face and pushed the teetering glass next to Jae-hyuk toward him.

“And if you mean he’s a slut, he doesn’t appear to be.”

“Are you saying that because you’ve seen him?”

“Well, a couple times.”

When Jae-hyuk asked if he was talking about the meeting, Ji-wook swallowed his silence, melting the ice in his glass. His eyes remained fixed on the ice.

“Oh, fuck, then why do I keep seeing…….”

Jae-hyuk’s eyes had already rolled back in his head as he mumbled something with a slurred pronunciation.

“I’ll call a driver for you. Go to sleep.”

“Why are you calling him.”

“Go back to sleep, Mr. Kang.”

Ji-wook pulled out his phone and flipped through his contacts, and Jae-hyuk, barely opening one eye, held out his own.

“Call Yoon Hajin there.”

“…… Then I’ll call Ms. Lee Si-yeon.”

“Yoon Hajin.”

“…….”

“Call Yoon Ha-jin…….”

He forced his eyes open amid a throbbing headache, and the ceiling, which felt lower than usual, came into view. This wasn’t the hotel he’d woken up in every day. Jaehyuk scrambled to his feet and looked around, and it was only then that he saw the furniture and objects that surrounded him. They are not the furniture of a hotel, but things that smell like people. This was a home.

“Are you awake?”

This was her house.

“What happened to me?”

However, Si-yeon’s expression was strange. Her eyes were squinted at him, and Jae-hyuk couldn’t help but wonder what was wrong.

( t/n this is where I stopped )
